His voice has literally permeated the sound of the forceful Salsa from the 1980s to the present, with credits in albums of respectable Latin artists, such as: Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri, among many others.
Hermán achieved international recognition in the early 1980s as the lead singer of “Conjunto Libre”, a legendary salsa group that had the main hits: “Decidete”, “No Me Echen La Culpa”, and “Elena Elena”.
Likewise, he went on to form recording and acting collaborations with the important Salseros People, including: Johnny Pacheco, Ray Barretto, Machito’s Orchestra, among many others. Since the late 1990s, Hermán Olivera also assumed the prestigious lead vocalist role of the Eddie Palmieri Orchestra, and in 2014 he recorded his debut album “La Voz del Caribe” with Salsaneo Records launched in North America one year later.
