In Concert with Romeo Santos

I was not familiar with Romeo Santos prior to this concert but he puts on one fabulous show. Had not been to a large venue in quite sometime. At first HP Pavilion seemed empty, but as the show time (late start) got closer the seats filled up to a full house. The lights, big screens, nine piece band and backup singer were not lost on the big stage. The “King” of Bachata made a royal entrance on a throne accompanied by two griffons.  The excitement of the crowd (screeming girls) was infectious.  This event has me reconsidering my prior opinion of bachata in general. Un buen tiempo.

The “King” of Bachata made a royal entrance on a throne accompanied by two griffons.  The excitement of the crowd (screeming girls) was infectious.  Romeo- appropriate name knew how to work the crowd.  Inviting everyone to sing along and even a contest for hombres, costumes and all. Winner received $500.00.  An audience vote!!!

At the last half of show Romeo popped up at the other end of the stadium so this part of audience could see him better. This was an excellent maneuver for such a big stadium, even with big screens.  He performed for 1.5 hours. This event has me reconsidering my prior opinion of bachata in general. Un buen tiempo.
