The First Edition of the Los Angeles On 2 Congress creates something different and original in Southern California. They’re committed on bringing you: a Weekend of Quality Shows, Workshops (10:00AM- 4:00PM), Performances with International and Local Professional Dancers, Pool Parties, and Social Dancing (Until 6:00AM) in 3 different ballrooms (Salsa – Bachata – Zouk) with 13 National DJs, who will be offering the maximum Latin entertainment.

Hermán Olivera “El Sonero del Siglo XXI” is a salsa singer from Newark, New Jersey. He began his career in New York City, where he earned his reputation as a “Sonero”. His voice has literally permeated the sound of the forceful Salsa from the 1980s to the present, with credits in albums of respectable Latin artists, such as: Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri, among many others.

Hermán achieved international recognition in the early 1980s as the lead singer of “Conjunto Libre”, a legendary salsa group that had the main hits: “Decidete”, “No Me Echen La Culpa”, and “Elena Elena”.

Likewise, he went on to form recording and acting collaborations with the important Salseros People, including: Johnny Pacheco, Ray Barretto, Machito’s Orchestra, among many others. Since the late 1990s, Hermán also assumed the prestigious lead vocalist role of the Eddie Palmieri Orchestra. To date, Herman has recorded on more than 45 albums, received four Grammy nominations and has received two Grammy awards.

In 2014 he recorded his debut album “La Voz del Caribe” (Salsaneo Records) and it was released in in North America in 2015.

For this occasion, “El Sonero del Siglo XXI” will be accompanied by the Hermán Olivera Orchestra with renowned musicians of Latin American origins.
