About the artist
Marc Anthony, or Marco Antonio Muñiz Rivera, was born in New York in 1968, although he has roots from Puerto Rico. From a young age he dedicated himself to music, until in 1993 he managed to become popular in the world of salsa thanks to the version he made of the theme of Juan Gabriel “Abrázame muy fuerte”. Marc Anthony thus became “el Rey de la Salsa.” Since then, he has released thirteen studio albums, especially highlighting the third album “Contra la corriente”. He has stood out with such popular themes as “Valió la pena,” “Qué precio tiene el cielo” “Ahora quién” or “Vivir mi vida.”
Marc Anthony has collaborated with La India, Jennifer Lopez, Ricardo Arjona, Gente de Zona, Alejandro Sanz or Maluma, among many other international artists.
Also, he has participated in films and has been a composer and singer of the soundtrack of others.
Marc Anthony has won two Grammys, one for Best Tropical Latino Performance and another for Best Latin Pop Album, and has been nominated numerous times for the Grammy and other awards.
