Viti Ruíz:

Víctor Rolando Pinto Ruiz better known as Viti Ruiz is an American salsa singer of Puerto Rican origin. His solo career began in the mid-80s participating in various salsa groups such as: the Tommy Olivencia orchestra and as a chorister in Frankie Ruiz’s orchestra. In 1989, Viti won the “Diplo” award in Puerto Rico as a promising orchestra and was nominated for “Lo Nuestro” awards, while in 1990 he received the “Ovación” award as a revelation of the year in Chicago. Since the year 2000, Viti Ruiz, began his tour for Europe and America presenting the songs of his discography, and the same time, he is paying homage to his late brother, Frankie Ruiz. In 2012, Ruíz received the award: “25 years of Musical Trajectory” granted by the Dominican community residing in New York.
